Anderson is one of the Bengals' most active players in civic and charitable endeavors, and was the team's nominee for the NFL Man of the Year Award in 2000. He hosts annual Christmas parties for Boys and Girls Clubs and regularly donates Bengals game tickets in his private suite to underprivileged children. He also sponsors dinners for homeless persons in Cincinnati and in Alabama, supports Christmas and Halloween parties at Children's Hospital of Cincinnati and is a Little League football sponsor.
